The joint product of UniCredit Bulbank and the largest mutual funds company in this country – Pioneer Investments – Pioneer Savings plan, was awarded for Best investment product at the IX International Financial Forum “Banks Investments Money”.

The award was received by Pascuale Giamboi, Head of Retail Banking of UniCredit Bulbank from KPMG’s managing partner Gergana Mantarkova.

Since its appearance on the market in the beginning of 2010, Pioneer savings plan has been among the UCB’s products in highest demand. The product enables the customers to choose themselves the amount of the monthly installment, the fund in which they will save and the period (3 or 5 years). So far more than 4,800 savings plans have been sold. According to Piorneer and UCB’s statistics, the average monthly installment under the savings plans is EUR 25 which means that smaller investors revive their interest in the financial markets too. Most preferred are the funds in shares – mostly shares on the Developing markets and Emerging Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as Alpha Commodity due to the upward trend in basic raw materials’ prices.

Recently Pioneer Investment celebrated nine years of entering the Bulgarian market. With assets above BGN 215 mio and market share of 27.5%,Pioneer is the largest mutual funds company in this country.
