UniCredit Bulbank reports a serious growth of digital signing
  • Since the beginning of the year digital signing documents in the small business sector have increased by 66%

Since the beginning of 2022, UniCredit Bulbank reports a significant increase in the number of people willing to sign documents for credit and non-credit products and services electronically in the small business sector. According to the bank’s data, over 10 000 digital signatures are accepted via the Evrotrust app, and approximately 20% are in the small business sector. The service is available via the Evrotrust app and electronically signing with a qualified electronic signature (QES). It is available across all branches network of UniCredit Bulbank, and the highest number of digitally signed documents are reported in the cities of Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv.

Digital signing allows the clients the freedom and flexibility to not spend time visiting a bank branch. Meanwhile, it provides the possibility for the contracts to be signed by several clients in parallel, which is often required in Transactions with companies. This option additionally optimizes the client’s time and speeds up the process.

"At UniCredit Bulbank, we pay special attention to consumer behaviour because it precisely indicates how effective service is and satisfies customer needs. From the beginning of 2022, we report a 66% increase in the preferences of legal entities to sign their contracts digitally, and we expect the increasing trend to be maintained. This trend categorically confirms that companies increasingly prefer the convenience of digital services, which is a step ahead in the direction of faster and more sustainable customer service", said Ekaterina Kirilova, Head of Sales Department.

According to the bank's data, customers most often digitally sign loan contracts and additional documents related to their utilization. At the beginning of 2022, UniCredit Bulbank provided its customers with the opportunity to apply completely remotely for mortgage lending and sign their contracts electronically. The bank reports over 120 digitally signed mortgages and nearly 500 digitally signed overdraft contracts during this period. The bank's calculations indicate that with 120 remotely signed mortgage contracts, printing and using more than 6,000 pages of paper have been saved, which contributes to preserving the planet's tree stock.

In addition to the wide digital portfolio of services and products of UniCredit Bulbank, customers have had the opportunity to open an account remotely, the service being available to current and new customers of the bank. Furthermore, UniCredit Bulbank closely monitors trends in consumer behaviour, continuing to invest heavily in offering more and more digital services and E2E (end-to-end) digital processes for the benefit of businesses and private customers in response to the drive for faster execution of daily tasks activities by bank employees.
