For the second year in a row UniCredit Bulbank announces a competition for mobile and web applications for the banking sector - UniCredit App Challenge. The competition, organized together with Mobile Monday as an informal forum for professionals in the sphere of mobile communications, is open for professionals and enthusiasts in the sphere of mobile technologies, applications and web content.

UniCredit Bulbank and Mobile Monday will open officially the competition for mobile applications and interactive content UniCredit App Challenge on 16 April 2014 in betahaus Sofia at 18:30. The meeting will bring together people interested in the mobile and digital technologies. The registration for participation in the event is already opened. The participation is free. A special guest at UniCredit App Challenge will be Iravan Hira - General Manager of Hewlett Packard Bulgaria. HP is the official partner of the competition and will give a special prize - Tablet HP Elite Pad 900. Tsvetanka Mincheva – Head of Retail Banking will participate with a presentation.

The developers of mobile and web applications may participate in the competition UniCredit App Challenge within 16 April – 10 June 2014. And a specialized workshop will be organized for all registered participants on 15 May.

The applications to be developed by the participants in the competition may be in one of the following fields in the financial field:

• Improving customer service and providing possibilities for getting immediate feedback;

• Enhancing financial capability, educational information;

• Facilitating the clients‘ access to the bank employees;

• Games and entertainment.

A jury consisting of proven professionals in the field of the mobile and web technologies, telecommunications, media and finance will evaluate each participant and his/her innovative financial application. Chairman of the jury is the Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank Levon Hampartzoumian.

The five best developers or teams will present their applications before the jury at a special event on 17 June 2014. The main partner in UniCredit App Challenge competition is Mobile Monday – a global community, which gathers together people interested in the mobile industry, who exchange ideas, share experience and discuss the new trends in the communications and the way in which they influence on our life. Some of the aims of Mobile Monday are encouraging the innovations in the mobile industry, facilitating the interactions between small and large, local and multinational companies, etc.

One part of the prize fund is provided by HP, Samsung and LAUNCHub, and among the media partners are SocialEvo, Mediabit, Enterprise.bg, MobileBulgaria, Marketing 360, Web cafе and Computer world.

The special prize of LAUNCHub is a direct invitation for interview session from LAUNCHub, which enables the applicant to take part in their “Long weekend”. In case being selected, the attendants of the “Long weekend” will receive valuable advice by the coaches and mentors of the company on the way of drawing up presentations in order to get financing by the Committee of Investors of LAUNCHub.
