The funds were provided with credit line from the Bulgarian Development Bank

Loans totaling up to BGN 20 million will be disbursed by UniCredit Bulbank to Bulgarian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises according to a credit line agreement with the Bulgarian Development Bank.

The Loans from UniCredit Bulbank may be used by the companies in Bulgaria for:

* Mid-term and long-term investment financing;

* Project financing for technical renovation; mastering of new technologies, know-how, increase of the competitive power and the export potential;

* Projects under EU structural funds;

* Short-term pre-export financing

The separate loans will amount up to BGN 2 mio for a period of up to 10 years. The companies will also receive additional support due to the possibility to use a grace period of up to 3 years from UniCredit Bulbank.

The interest rate under the loans disbursed from the credit line with BDB has been fixed at 8%. A deviation is admissible only if BNB's base interest rate changes with two percentage points from its level as of 29 December 2008 – 5.77%.
