UniCredit Bulbank will cooperate with universities in Bulgaria in the developing of future specialists in the field of banking. The Memorandum of Cooperation between the bank and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), which was signed today, envisages joint initiatives and support for the professional training and realization of the students.

The document was signed by the Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Bulbank Levon Hampartzoumian and the Rector of UNWE Prof. Statty Stattev at an official ceremony in the university in the presence of students and guests.

„For many years now we have been in touch with UniCredit Bulbank and our students have taken part in the internship program of the bank but now we institutionalize our relations and bring them to a higher level", claimed Prof. Statty Stattev. According to him, the internships at UniCredit Bulbank are the best way for the students to understand the way a bank operates from within.

Levon Hampartzoumian pointed out, that the world of today is developing so fast that very often the academia cannot catch up with the business processes. „It is important for us as a bank to notice the talented students soon enough, so the cooperation is useful for both sides", Hampartzoumian stated.

„It is of particular importance for us to share with you our experience in the job that we love", pointed out the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and General Manager of UniCredit Bulbank Enrico Minniti. He shared with the students that it is much better for them to learn not only from the books, but also from the people practicing the profession they have chosen. Hana Citbajova, Head of Human Resources Department of UniCredit Bulbank added that the internship program of UniCredit Bulbank gives inspiring examples and encourages an even wider development of the initiative for professional training for students.

An expression of the cooperation of UniCredit Bulbank with the universities is the "Business Master Class" initiative -a series of practical lectures by top managers and leading experts from the UniCredit Bulbank teams, which was launched today by Levon Hampartzoumian with his lecture "The Future of Business". In addition to UNWE, top managers of the bank will be giving lectures in the rest of the best schools of Economics in the country.

The Memorandum of Cooperation between UniCredit Bulbank and UNWE envisages the organizing of joint seminars, round tables, business forums, as well as thematic competitions for students, which will encourage the analytical and entrepreneurial mindset. The bank will provide opportunities for career development and realization to students from UNWE through internship programs and employment.

UniCredit Bulbank provides internships to students of Economics for a tenth year.
