Companies will swiftly be able to utilize up to EUR 10 million at lower interest rates thanks to collateral provided by Bank Austria, part of UniCredit

UniCredit Bulbank starts offering a new product for short-term financing to local affiliates of the Austrian companies – Umbrella Facility. Companies can benefit from short-term loans of up to one year for working capital, credit lines, guarantees, etc. at lower interest rates thanks to the collateral provided by Bank Austria, part of UniCredit.

Loans are disbursed in euros at a minimum loan amount of EUR 100 thousand and maximum amount – EUR 10 million. In order to be able to benefit from the new product Umbrella Facility parent companies need to be clients of Bank Austria, part of UniCredit. The new product aims at supporting the efforts of Austrian companies to grow and develop in international markets. The main advantage of this type of financing is the possibility to make readily available swiftly coordinated financing at prices comparable to the ones in Austria.

“There are high expectations with respect to the new product - we want to use this opportunity to become one of the best cross-border banks until 2015”, says Gianfranco Papa, Head of the UniCredit CEE Division.

The Umbrella Facility product is also characterized by a shortened approval procedure with utilization of the loan within 6 working days of submitting the necessary application documents. The special offer to affiliates of Austrian companies is available in 10 Central and Eastern European countries in which UniCredit operates. They are Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary Romania, Russia, Slovakia and Slovenia. At a later stage the new product is also expected to be made available in Germany and Italy as well as other CEE countries.

In September last year the Umbrella Facility product was selected as the most innovative financial product of 2011 in Austria.
