UniCredit Bulbank has released a special solution for the foreigners working in Bulgaria. The product is called Expat package and offers a package of banking services that have been especially developed for the needs of foreign citizens with preferential conditions. This is the first product of its kind in our country.

All foreign citizens, who have a monthly salary of at least EUR 4,000, which is transferred to an account in UniCredit Bulbank, can take advantage of the new package of services and products. The package combines the most commonly used bank products and services. It provides preferential conditions for international transfers and currency exchange.

The Expat Package also provides for the use of overdraft. The current account in BGN for the customers has no fees for opening or closing, and no maintenance fee. The customer can also open a second current account, which is in a foreign currency – either euro or dollars, which also has no fee for opening or closing.

“In the Expat Package we put together a wide range of products with added value, which are regularly demanded by the foreigners working in Bulgaria“, commented Michele Amadei, Head of “Corporate, Investment and Private Banking“ Division and member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank.

With the help of this package, foreigners working in Bulgaria also get a debit card in BGN. It can be either Maestro, Visa Electron, Vpay or Vpay – Lukoil. There is no charge for issuing the card, no annual service fee and no requirement for a minimum lance on the account. Furthermore, no fee is collected for withdrawals from ATMs and for payment of goods and services using the card, not only in Bulgaria, but also abroad. A second debit card is also issued under the same conditions, which is part of the whole package of products.

Expat Package relieves the user from fees for money transfers as well as for six periodic payments of utility services a month. Any foreigners, who are customers of the bank, can use also Bulbank Online for free. The package also includes a credit card in BGN and in foreign currency without an annual service fee. UniCredit Bulbank also provides to foreigners preferential exchange rates for non-cash purchase or sale of currency for transactions over EUR 10 thousand, or their equivalent in another currency.

Customers from the other segments of UniCredit Bulbank can also take advantage of various promotions, which are currently on offer. Among them is the new “On hand” deposit. The special promotional conditions will be in force until 31 July 2012 for all newly attracted funds under this deposit. Furthermore, the first 1000 customers, who open an “On hand” deposit, will receive as a gift a USB flash disk, in the shape of a padlock. The new deposit allows the customers of the bank to dispose freely with up to 60% of their funds. The savings can be used at any time of the deposit period, without breaching it or losing part of the interest accrued to that moment.

Another special promotion, which is in force until the end of July, has to do with Bulbank Mobile and Bulbank Online. Each customer, who makes at least three transactions through one of the two electronic banking platforms, will take part in a monthly lottery for an iPad 2 or a gift-card, amounting to BGN 100 for shopping in the stores of Technopolis.
