UniCredit Is Back into Dow Jones Sustainability Indices

In its latest survey, covering 101 countries, the Global Finance Magazine recently declared UniCredit the most reliable bank in Italy.

UniCredit remains within the Dow Jones Europe and World Indices, which include the companies with the best achievements in the field of sustainable development. Since the last assessment, the leading European bank group has improved its total result by reaching 82 points out of a maximum of 100. In comparison, the average score for the banking sector is 60 points, and the Dow Jones indices include companies with 77 points and above. This confirms the fact that UniCredit is among the companies with the most consistent sustainability policy.

UniCredit has managed to register improvement in all three areas under assessment: economic, environmental and social. Among the fields for which the bank has received highest scores are customer relations, brand management, risk and crisis management, human rights, etc. The largest number of improvements introduced by UniCredit is in the fields of brand management, climate and ecology strategies, talent hunting and retention, and others.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices were established in 1999 and are the first indicators evaluating the world’s leading companies and their performance in the field of sustainable development.
