Above 20% of the trainees from last year remained working at the bank after completion of their Internship

The largest bank in Bulgaria – UniCredit Bulbank gives a chance to young and talented students and professionals to start their career with Internship Program 2012. This Program is carried out for a sixth year running and since 2007 until now nearly 1,500 trainees made their first career steps with UniCredit Bulbank.

Last year around 340 students and professionals took part in the Internship program of UniCredit Bulbank and more than 20% out of them remained working at the bank after completing it.

The Internship is originally with duration of 3 months and depending on the preference of the trainee and the bank’s possibility it may be extended up to 6 or 9 months. Apart from that the trainees may be engaged full-time or be offered a more flexible scheme – working, for instance, four hours a day so that they could successfully balance between performing their duties at the bank and attending lectures. The trainees receive monthly remuneration as well as a certificate for a successfully completed Internship.

The future trainees may choose from positions countrywide, they can get a placement at the head office or the branch network of the bank. In the Internship program there are: Retail Banking, Investment Banking, Markets and Brokerage; Corporate Banking; Private Banking; Information Technologies; Administration of distrains and insurances; Cards and card operations; Currency and Domestic Payments; Risk Management; Non-Performing Loans; Bank Security; Customer Service and Satisfaction; Business Communications – marketing and advertising; Identity and communications.

Having completed your university studies but lacking Internship experience is as if you have read the instruction book „How to drive a car“, but never having been in the driver’s seat”, commented Bozhidar Bozhkov, senior manager of Investment Strategy and Products – Private Banking who started his career at the bank back in 2006 as a trainee.
