You can see the Same Time Next Year exhibition from September 27th to October 27th at UniCredit Studio
The cultural life of a city is what shows its heartbeat. This is exactly what the young photographer Doriyan Todorov did with his photographic exhibition Same Time Next Year. He showed us around three of the festivals from the cultural agenda of the capital in 2016.
The exhibition which is part of the Fotofabrika festival was officially opened at UniCredit Studio. Same Time Next Year is the positive ending of this year's edition of the festival. In 2016 the topic of Fotofabrika is conflicts and Doriyan shows us the way to avoid them - through music, culture and having fun.
"UniCredt Studio is glad to welcome this young photographer. Since 2012 the studio has received many young talents. In order to be able to invite more artists, we are planning a renovation of the gallery. Doriyan's exhibition will be among the last ones in the current format of UniCredit Studio and I think that the positivism we see in his photos is suitable for this," said Antoaneta Curteanu, Head of Corporate, Investment and Private Banking and Member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank during the opening.
The photographs, taken by Doriyan Todorov declare the eternity of art and the emotions it brings to us.
"It is often said that when there is art, there is no money and when there is money there is not enough art. We are grateful to UniCredit Bulbank for finding the common ground of both", stated the director of Fotofabrika Emmy Baruch.
"I am grateful to Fotofabrika and UniCredit Studio for the opportunity to show you my works. My photographs show how art influences man", shared the creator of Same Time Next Year. More information about Doriyan and how he took up photography is available in the interview he gave for UniCredit Bulbank’s blog.
Looking at Same time next year you will feel the rhythm of jazz music at the A to Z jazz festival. The music event is one of the emblems of music Sofia that has turned it into one of the world's jazz capitals.
From jazz we are taken to the techno wave at the DAY 001 festival. The music from this music event has conquered the sets in New York and London and came to Boyana Film Studio in June.
After the music theme, we let off steam and take a look at art from another perspective - the opening of this year's Fotofabrika festival with the four series Grief, Blacks, Dusk, Dawn by Erwin Olaf at the National Gallery.
Doriyan Todorov invites us to join the cultural life, experience it and share it.
