UniCredit Bulbank offers up to BGN 25 000 for tuition and living allowances of students in Bulgaria and abroad. The new lending conditions, which are aimed at enabling students to pay their tuition fees for the semester or to cover their current costs, are in force as of May this year. The main change is the cancellation of the requirement to set up a mortgage for amounts up to BGN 25 000, as the student loans shall be granted in case there are up to two guarantors. Moreover, the bank offers the possibility that not only parents can be guarantors of the students.

UniCredit Bulbank grants student loans to Bulgarian students studying in accredited universities and colleges in Bulgaria and abroad. Currently, the loans are offered at the exclusively advantageous 7% interest rate.

Students can also receive loans of up to BGN 5 000, under the same interest rate terms and conditions, in order to participate in Work & Travel programs abroad.

The Bank offers a grace period for repayment of the student loan principal of up to 6 months after graduation. During the study period, the student will pay only the due monthly interest.

UniCredit Bulbank also offers a new contactless debit card for students under promotional conditions. The student Debit MasterCard has a monthly maintenance and service fee in the amount of only BGN 0.50. If the student wishes so, the card can be personalized with the inscription of the name of the educational establishment, the department or the faculty number. The youths will be able to withdraw money from UniCredit Bulbank and UniCredit ATMs in Europe with no fee. The transactions carried out at POS terminals as well as the online payments will not be charged either.

In the last eight years, UniCredit Bulbank has granted loans to nearly 600 students, as their number on an annual basis grew thrice in 2014. Student loans in the amount of almost BGN 600 000 were granted last year, under the Academic League program. They are intended to cover the tuition fees in Bulgaria or abroad, the living expenses or one-off costs such as, for example, the purchase of PCs, educational materials, etc. or to cover the participation of the student in Work & Travel programs abroad.

The student products are part of the special UniCredit Bulbank program for students and professors from the Academic League. The project was created under the initiative of students from the “My Bank of the Future” clubs, together with the online platform www.Kosher.bg.
