The largest financial institution in Bulgaria received the award for market share, too.

UniCredit Bulbank received the grand Bank of the Year award in the Annual Bank Awards rating of the Bank of the Year Association.  The prize was awarded to Levon Hampartzoumian, Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of the bank.

"A company is as successful, as its clients are.  This is also an award for the efforts of over 4,000 colleagues. Success never comes by chance. It is always the result of organized efforts, motivation and I am glad that someone has noticed that. Receiving an award is without a doubt pleasant, but we are not being complacent. We continue improving ourselves," said Levon Hampartzoumian.

During the ceremony UniCredit Bulbank was awarded the prize in the Largest Market Share category.

In 2016 the bank also received awards for Best Bank in Bulgaria from the international magazines Global Finance and EMEA Finance, Best Consumer Digital Bank of Global Finance, bank of innovations of Forbes Bulgaria, etc.

The award ceremony was preceded by the financial forum “Education, Professionals, Growth “organized by the Bank of the Year Association. According to Levon Hampartzoumian, in 10 years the financial industry will be much more closely related to information technologies, so financiers and economists should consider the fact that they now need of a wider range of skills and knowledge.
