UniCredit Bulbank is the only Bulgarian bank certified as a Top employer.
The recognition for excellence was given to UniCredit Bulgaria by Top Employers Institute, based in Amsterdam. Apart from Bulgaria, UniCredit Group was certified as a Top Employer in Italy, Germany, Russia and Poland too.
Top Employers Institute — part of the internationally renowned Top Employers community — has recognized the accomplishments of Top Employers around the world for more than 25 years. The Institute has created a community of more than 1,200 Top Employers across 116 countries.
The recognition is a result of an assessment and analysis of the processes and best practices of organisations in nine fields such as work environment, staff training, talent development strategy and performance management.
“There are several reasons which make us believe we are among top employers on the market. In the first place, we encourage and place a high value on a positive work environment, team spirit and common values. The Top Management, the company’s leaders, aim to set an example of these priorities. We care about and realize the importance of staff development, strong motivation maintenance and commitment.
Top Employer certification is an independent external assessment which confirms that we focus on people as our most important capital”, comments Hana Citbajova, Head of HR Deparment, UniCredit Bulbank.
UniCredit Bulbank's Talent Development Programme was given the highest possible score by Top Employers Institute’s experts. Management performance and leadership skills development encouraged by the Bank are also among the indicators which obtained excellent scores. The Bank was also ranked high thanks to the values it fosters: fairness, transparency, respect, trust, freedom and equality.
As a certified Top Employer UniCredit Bulbank creates an outstanding working environment and conditions as well as a wide range of creative initiatives. The Bank has a very well-structured staff development programmes. This is why it is ranked among the best employers in Europe, said David Plink, Top Employers Institute’s CEO.
DHL, SAP, PEPSI, etc. are among the organisations in Europe which received Top Employer certification.
The recognition of UniCredit Bulgaria is proof that the efforts of the Bank to maintain qualified personnel are fruitful. The Bank’s recent survey on Bulgarian young people’s attitude towards their future employers is part of these efforts. The survey was initiated in order that the Bank can offer the desired conditions to its employees.
The survey was conducted in 2016, covering approximately 400 young people (aged between 19 and 30) who were still students or recent graduates. The analysis shows that young people choose their long-term workplace depending on their team.
Other factors are remuneration and development. Young people look for work from home opportunities, flexible working time, management which provides feedback, etc.
