UniCredit Bulbank customers can avail themselves of financing for renovation of residential buildings at lower interest rates. The proposal of the bank is related to the project of the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD) called “Energy Renovation of Bulgarian homes”.

Applications for financial aid for energy efficiency renovation under the project can be submitted to the Ministry until January 15th, 2015, as the construction and assembly works on the homes have to be completed until October 31, 2015. For each approved building the owners will receive financial aid in the amount of 75% of the budget for the renovation of the particular building/building section (costs for construction and assembly works, drawing up of technical designs/as-built designs; conformity assessment; designer’s and construction supervision; costs related to the commissioning of the site; costs related to obtaining the necessary permits). Applications under the project “Energy Renovation of Bulgarian Homes” can be submitted for buildings whose design work started prior to April 26th,1999.

UniCredit Bulbank will finance the remaining 25% of the projects for home renovation through a consumer loan for individuals to finance the required own participation of the customers applying under the project “Energy Renovation of Bulgarian Homes”. The owners’ association can avail itself of a 0.5% discount from the interest rate in case it is a client of UniCredit Bulbank. The loans are with a repayment term of 3 to 120 months and a maximum amount up to 50 thousand leva.

A personal ID card and a certificate of participation in the programme of the Ministry of Regional Development have to be presented upon applying for a loan for renovation of a residential building. UniCredit Bulbank customers will be notified within 2 hours whether they are approved for financing of their project. Upon approval of the consumer loan the bank will issue a certificate of loan approval to be submitted to the Ministry of Regional Development.
