UniCredit Bulbank with new structured deposits investing in renowned international companies

The investments in PepsiCo, Novartis, American Electric Power, Johnson&Johnson, and McDonald’s give opportunity for generation of additional and higher profit.

UniCredit Bulbank is now offering new structured deposits, investing in five of the biggest and most successful international companies. This kind of deposit gives clients the opportunity to generate additional higher profit and at the same time gives a 100% guarantee of the principal.

The opportunity for better return depends on the performance and price changes of the shares of five of the most important blue chips (companies with big liquidity, market capitalization, high credit rating and stable financial results). These are PepsiCo, Novartis, American Electric Power, Johnson&Johnson, and McDonald’s.

UniCredit Bulbank’s clients can choose between structured deposits in U.S. dollars - Green Trend and such in euro - BlueTrend. The period for opening the deposits is from 1 to 26 November 2012, and for depositing – from 27 November 2012 to 27 November 2015. In the period for depositing clients receive the fixed and guaranteed interest of 0.03% plus an additional yield depending on the performance of the companies’ shares. The minimum opening amount for the deposits is respectively 10,000 euro / 10,000 U.S. dollars. The principal of the deposits is paid at maturity regardless of the performance of the share basket.

The fixed and guaranteed interest for the period for opening is 1.5% p.a. for BlueTrend and 1% for Green Trend.

“The goal of the new structured deposits is to respond to the big interest to this type of products among clients”, Ivan Dzhonov, Head of Private Banking at UniCredit Bulbank commented. He further explained that the structured deposits are a good way to diversify one’s savings, and at the same time to generate additional profit.

The total market capitalization of PepsiCo, Novartis, American Electric Power, Johnson&Johnson, and McDonald’s is over USD 564 billion, which is more than 10 times the GDP of Bulgaria for 2011. The cumulative net profit of the five companies was USD 33 billion for the past year. Besides, the data shows that their revenues as a whole do not depend on the business cycles of the economy.
