UniCredit Bulbank offers promotional interests for Rokada time deposit by the end of the year with advanced payment of the interest. The interest rate which the clients can get is 5.25% for 12-month deposit in euro. For the 6-month deposit – the interest is 4.75%, and for the three-month deposit – 4.30%.

The minimum amount for opening the deposit is EUR 1,000 or BGN 2,000. The accrual and payment of the interest is one-off upon opening of the deposit, at the time the contract between UniCredit Bulbank and the client is concluded.

The deposit is intended for individuals. During the term of validity of Rokada deposit the clients may not pay-in addition amounts or withdraw or transfer amounts from the principal.

According to the latest information from the Bulgarian National Bank the deposits of individuals in Bulgaria amount to slightly above BGN 29 billion as of the end of August 2011. On annual basis this is a 12% increase. UniCredit Bulbank’s market share of deposits of individuals as of August is 11.5%.

“In view of the macroeconomic situation and the instability on the financial markets, we expect for the population in this country to stay cautious in the short-run“, said Tsvetanka Mincheva, Deputy Head of Retail Banking in UniCredit Bulbank. She thinks that the worldwide turbulence and the volatility of the main market prices and indexes determine the advantage of the bank deposit security to the risk from investing in business, real estate or other financial instruments.
