More than 16 thousand of fans watched UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour during the final of its European tour in Bulgaria organized by UniCredit.
UniCredit Bulbank won the prestigious Event of the Year Award in Bulgaria for UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour. The award was given on June 26th 2014 at the official PR annual award ceremony 2014 organized by the Bulgarian PR Association. This year the special event award was again the most contested category.

In the course of several weeks UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour served to successfully integrate all communication channels and PR technologies in order to convey messages to all target audiences: mass audience, current and potential clients, business, colleagues, fans and children. UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour Event of the Year included twelve specialized events with current and potential clients in four cities, ten press releases, three press conferences, eight media partnerships with TV, the press, online media, about 200 positive articles in local and national media. The event itself and all activities going on in the social media made the bank the financial institution with the biggest online community in Bulgaria.

It was in Bulgaria from October 16 - October 23, 2013. In line with UniCredit Bulbank's mission to be close to local communities the Trophy visited four Bulgarian cities (the maximum number permitted by UEFA): Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora.
UniCredit Bulbank gave thousands of fans, colleagues, clients and partners of the bank the opportunity to see the most valuable football trophy during outdoor events, VIP cocktail parties and other initiatives.
UEFA Champions League Trophy Tour in Bulgaria is an example of the excellent synergy of two recognizable brands - that of UniCredit and that of UEFA Champions League as well as full interaction of special events, communication and traditional media, online presence and high technologies.
Apart from Fabio Capello and Robert Pirès, the official ambassadors of the UEFA Champions League Trophy, during the visits in Bulgaria UniCredit Bulbank gave credit to the football players from the golden generation such as Hristo Stoichkov, Trifon Ivanov and Petar Hubchev to show the most valuable trophy to the local communities and foster values such as success, tolerance and global thinking.
