Participants will work on real business projects with the support of managers from the bank and will have the chance to start an internship

UniCredit Bulbank extends the application deadline for My Bank of the Future programme for 10 days, until 17 September. The purpose is that more students are given the opportunity to participate for a third year in a row in the initiative, developed together with the online platform www.kosher.bg. Participants can come from different universities and academic programmes related to the banking business: finance, economy, business administration, marketing, information technologies, accounting, etc.

Students need to register a Banking club in the online platform www.kosher.bg and declare their willingness to be part of My Bank of the Future 3.0. Besides a chance to work on real business projects with the support from managers of the bank, after the completion of the programme participants will be able to apply for an internship at UniCredit Bulbank. Students will partake in specially organized trainings while working on the projects.

The programme starts at the end of September and ends by the beginning of December when teams will present their projects before top managers of the bank and a winner will be chosen. This year students will be able to chose among five projects in the following areas: Corporate Social Responsibility: FOR the Next 50 Years, Retail Banking and Information Technologies: Developer of Banking Products, Business Clients: Developing the idea of offering non-financial products to clients with the purpose of creating a business environment, Technological and Business Innovations: UniCredit App Challenge and Alternative Channels: Banking in Social Networks.

In last year's edition of My Bank of the Future 3.0 eight teams from leading Bulgarian universities made it to the finals. They worked on six business projects, four out of which were carried out. One of the ideas has been implemented for the first time in Bulgaria. It gives youths the opportunity to receive an overdraft covered by their student scholarship.

FOR Education

The biggest Bulgarian financial institution works actively to support youths by cooperating with Teach for Bulgaria Foundation, supporting and participating in the initiative Manager for a Day etc. UniCredit Bulbank also works on the programme My Bank of the Future together with the online platform www.kosher.bg. It is intended for students from different universities and academic programmes related to the banking business. In 2013 in response to the specific financial needs of the academic community in Bulgaria, the bank created a whole range of products for students and teachers called Academic League. One of these products, a student overdraft, was designed on the initiative of participants in My Bank of the Future.

Further to the opportunity to work on projects, each year UniCredit Bulbank gives a chance to more than 400 students to start an internship with the bank. The bank also supports the project Get Ready 2 Work! The purpose of the project is the integration and active employment of disadvantaged young people on the labor market by applying successful training models and programmes for labor market inclusion from Austria and Germany. In addition, UniCredit & Universities Foundation grants scholarships for Master's degrees at top international universities in Bulgaria.
