• Foreigners may choose from 22 first-class projects financed by the bank
UniCredit Bulbank starts providing loans to foreigners, as well as to non-resident Bulgarian citizens. The eligibility requirement for the borrowers is to have a permanent employment contract abroad.
Bulgarian citizens who work abroad but want to buy a property in the country may use the loan for purchasing a property of their own choice provided the building is completed at “rough construction” (with issued Deed 14 in accordance with the Spatial Development Act), while foreigners may choose from 22 first-class projects for holiday and non-holiday properties constructed with financing from UniCredit Bulbank.
„We are restoring this credit product in response to the market demand.”, explained Lyubomir Punchev, Head of Retail Banking and member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bulbank. According to him, this is an excellent opportunity for the foreign citizens, who do not know the market in our country. „Making use of our offer and purchasing a property from an investor-client of UniCredit, our clients will have additional security that their project will be completed”, explained Mr. Punchev.
The interest* under the Euro loans is 10.10% per annum. The maximum term of the provided mortgage loans is: up to 20 years for foreign citizens and up to 25 years for non-resident Bulgarian citizens as to the final maturity date of the loan the borrowers must not be over 60 years - for the women, and 65 years - for the men.
*APR = 11.6414 % upon a loan term of 20 years, loan amount EUR 25 000, with included payment for a property insurance by Generali, offered by the bank.
