In this way the bank will support the “Get Ready 2 Work” initiative
UniCredit Bulbank will ensure ten internship positions for young people of disadvantaged backgrounds. In this way the bank will support the “Get Ready 2 Work” Project. The aim of the project is integration and active employment of young people of disadvantaged backgrounds on the labor market through the application of successful training models and labor market inclusion programs which are already applied in Austria and Germany.
The project envisages the creation of a comprehensive module-based training program in Bulgaria, which is intended not only for the main target group – young people, but also for employers, trainers, career advisors and social workers, as well as experts from institutions relevant to the labor market. This systematic approach to integration and inclusion of young people of disadvantaged backgrounds offers a new perspective on overcoming unemployment among this target group.
“We have joined the initiative because we are a socially responsible organization and believe that the best we can do for these wonderful young people is to give them the opportunity to learn in a real business environment, to improve their personal, social and organizational skills and last but not least, to be financially independent”, commented Emanuele Recchia, Head of Human Resources Department at UniCredit Bulbank.
The training program will last for 8 weeks and will include 50 young people from socially and economically disadvantaged groups aged between 18 and 29 years. The courses will involve practical exercises, interesting group and individual projects, as well as personal meetings with individual consultants. After completion of the training, 10 participants will join the Internship Program of UniCredit Bulbank and UniCredit Consumer Financing. The internship will be with an initial duration of 3 months and depending on the willingness and the capacity of the institutions, it may be extended to 6 months.
The internship program of the bank gives a chance to talented students and young professionals to start their career with UniCredit Bulbank. It is held for already an eight consecutive year and in 2013 20% of the 490 interns who took part in the program remained to work with the bank.
The “Get Ready 2 Work” Project is fulfilled with the financial support of Human Resources Development Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund of the European Union.
