Using attractive opportunities for extending the economic and social connections between Bulgaria and India, implementing mutually useful investment projects and creating intiatives for new business contacts are among the main targets of the newly established Indian-Bulgarian Business Chamber in Bulgaria.
In the presence and with the clearly expressed support of the Вulgarian Minister of Economy, Mr. Bozhidar Loukarski and H.E. Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, Ambassador of India in Sofia, the new business organization was announced during an official ceremony yeaterday evening by Mr. Borislav Boyanov, Lawyer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber.
“I have been observing the relationship between Bulgaria and India for 25 years now. For a couple of reasons we decided that now is the right time for establishing the Chamber. In first place, in recent years new, young, reputable and booming Bulgarian companies started a business on a global level and became part of the tradition of the economic relations between Bulgaria and India by carrying out successful activity in the Asian country. At the same time, the business in India started looking more actively for opportunities abroad. Mr. Modi’s government policy is a very modern and dynamic one and it supports this process. Not least, the initiative and the support of H.E. Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva, Ambassador of India in Sofia and Shri Sanjeev K. Bhati, Second Secretary and Head of the Chancery of the Embassy have a significant contribution to the creation of the Indian-Bulgarian Business Chamber“, said Mr. Borislav Boyanov, Lawyer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber. “We will work for a good environment for making business and for encouraging the ethical commercial standards and the integrity.“, he added. The Chamber also relies on the close cooperation with other business organizations and chambers in Bulgaria and India.
“I am impressed by the interests towards the Chamber and the event, as well as by the short term in which the organization was created. I strongly believe in the future of the relationship between Bulgaria and India“, H.E. Rajesh Kumar Sachdeva said. He pointed out that with a growth of nearly 7.5% for 2015, India is one of the fastest-growing economies worlwide and invited the Bulgarian companies to avail themselves of the opportunities which the enormous market of India offers with its more than 1.2 billion people.
“I believe that the Indian-Bulgarian Business Chamber is a good platform for creating more contacts and investments in Bulgaria. The Ministry of Ecomony is a stable partner of yours. In India it was chosen as best external trade representative of Bulgaria worlwide for the last year.“, Minister Bozhidar Loukarski said.
