Whistleblowing: Report a violation

These channels are intended for whistleblowing reports in the scope of art. 3, par. 1 and 2 of Whistleblowers Protection Act, that are in working context outside of the commercial activities and relations with clients.

Through a comprehensive and effective compliance organization, UniCredit Bulbank AD and its subsidiaries (UniCredit Consumer Financing EAD, UniCredit Leasing EAD, UniCredit Insurance Brocer EOOD and UniCredit Fleet Management EOOD) continuously and emphatically endeavors to avert potential risks at an early stage and thus prevent damage to our company, our employees, our business partners and our environment. This includes being receptive to indications about breaches of rules, instances of fraud and financial crime. Hence, any concerns or cases of suspicion should always be reported.

There are primary channels and points of contact available to report any misconduct. Besides this, there are corresponding hotlines and special mailboxes for specific suspicious activities reports for example for fraud and money laundering.

As an additional possibility, we are using the whistleblowing system SpeakUp! which enables our employees and third parties to call our attention around the clock either online or by phone.

Employees can send whistleblowing reports by using specific mechanisms indicated by the applicable internal rules (certain channels are available 24/7).

Business partners and other third parties can send reports, which are also taken very seriously, related to, for example: (please note this is a non-exclusive list of examples):

  • Bribery or corruption
  • Money laundering
  • Terrorism-financing violations
  • Insider trading
  • Gifts and Entertainment Policy violations
  • Privacy violations
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Competition law violations
  • Fraud
  • Disclosure of confidential information
  • Bullying and harassment
  • Improper use of company resources

 

The reports shall contain at least the following data:

The reports shall contain at least the following data:

  • the sender`s full name, address and telephone number, as well as an email address, if any;
  • the names of the person, against whom the report is filed and his workplace, if the report is filed against specific persons and they are known;
  • specific details of a breach or of a real danger, that it will be committed, the place and period of the breach, if it was committed, a description of the act or the situation and other circumstances, as far as these are known to the information reporter;
  • date of reporting the information;
  • signature, electronic signature or other identification of the sender.
  • The written information shall be submitted by the sender by filling in a form that can be found on the official internet site of the  Commission for Personal Data Protection Commission for Personal Data Protection.

The Bank ensures confidentiality, privacy and protection of data and grants the whistleblower protection against any form of retaliatory measures directly or indirectly, against the whistleblower for reasons linked to the report.

For external reporting, you can address the Commission for Personal Data Protection as a central authority according to the law.
