Basic documents
According to the requirements of the applicable legislation, when engaging in business relations with the Bank (provision of product or service, including account opening), clients must provide the Bank with documents and information related to their identification. In case of change of any circumstance, the information must be updated in a timely manner.

Bulgaria citizens
Present the following documents:

Identity card or passport, issued before 29.12.2000 (valid only for Bulgarian citizens who were 70 years of age as of 29.12.2000);
- Know Your Customer Questionnaire and/or declarations – templates of the bank
Citizens of EU, EEA and the Swiss Confederation
Citizens of the European Union, of a member country of the European Economic Area Agreement, or of the Swiss Confederation, including members of their families, under the provisions of the Entry, Residence and Departure of the Republic of Bulgaria of European Union Citizens and Members of Their Families Act.
Citizens of countries outside EU, EEA and the Swiss Confederation
Individuals that are not citizens of the European Union, nor of a member country of the European Economic Area Agreement, or of the Swiss Confederation, including members of the families of Bulgarian citizens that are not citizens of the European Union, nor of a member country of the European Economic Area Agreement, or of the Swiss Confederation, under the provisions of the Foreigners Act.
Diplomats and military servicemen
Employees in diplomatic or consular missions or in international organizations accredited in Bulgaria and their family members.
Present the following documents:

National travel document (passport of identity card), issued by the respective country;

Card of an accredited employee;

Know Your Customer Questionnaire and/or declarations – templates of the bank.
In case the national travel document:

Does not contain the address of permanent residence of the individual, copy from another official document should be provided by the customer, issued by the country that has issued the passport certifying the address, such as tax declaration, contract for property, rental contract, document for paid utilities (electricity, water, telephone, television, etc.);

Is issued in a foreign language without translation into English, official translation into Bulgarian must be provided and the signature of the translator must be notarized by a Bulgarian notary.
Military servicemen and members of the civilian component of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) structure located in the Republic of Bulgaria, and their family members.
Present the following documents:

National travel document (passport of identity card), issued by the respective country;
Card of an employee of NATO structures or their dependents;
- Know Your Customer Questionnaire and/or declarations – templates of the bank.
In case the national travel document:
- Does not contain the address of permanent residence of the individual, copy from another official document should be provided by the customer, issued by the country that has issued the passport certifying the address, such as tax declaration, contract for property, rental contract, document for paid utilities (electricity, water, telephone, television, etc.);
- Is issued in a foreign language without translation into English, official translation into Bulgarian must be provided and the signature of the translator must be notarized by a Bulgarian notary.
* In addition to the listed basic documents, the Bank reserves the right to request additional ones in accordance with the applicable legislation as well as with the General terms and conditions for opening, servicing and closing bank accounts of individuals and for providing payment services and instruments.
